Product update! Dimmer chip and FL Kit 2!
It's been a while since the last update, but projects are still stirring in the lab here at Mash-Mods. The newest addition to the front light kit section is a dimmer chip which allows you to control with software the brightness of the front light. Compatible with the GameBoy Color and Neo Geo Pocket Color, a simple combination of buttons allows you to adjust 8 levels of brightness, and not have to fiddle with using/installing an external switch or dial.
In other news, we are now using a new front light kit, aptly named the Front Light Kit 2. This kit uses the same front light as the GameBoy SP, so the quality is much higher than the original kit. More importantly, the front light guide now covers the entire screen for both the NGPC and the GB original, which wasn't possible with the earlier kit. The fully illuminated NGPC screen, along with the dimmer chip is the ultimate perfection in this mod category. Check out the front light section for details on the new products!
